The constructions in a 2D geometric project are produced in the current plane. The plane can contain a set of 2D geometric elements, connected by a sequence of constructions and parametric relationships. When constructing 2D elements, parametric relationships are automatically created between the elements, taking into account their type of construction. This allows the changing of the geometric parameters for one element, and all "related" elements are automatically reconstructed.
Each plane has a fixed position in the global coordinate system, which allows the positioning of 2D objects in 3D space.
The integrated parametric 2D geometry mode enables the construction of both auxiliary geometry (creation of restriction/machining zones, workpiece, drive curves) and also the construction of a model for machining. The 2D geometry mode has powerful facilities for constructing parametric geometric models and includes the ability to snap them to coordinates of a 3D model. All 2D geometric objects are represented in two ways: graphic and linguistic (text). There is a well-defined relationship between these two modes. This means that each object in graphic window corresponds to a line in the linguistic (text) program in the language of the geometric processor and vice versa.
In a 2D geometry program, the sequence of construction and relationships between objects as well as the user defined parameters are stored. It is possible to make changes to these parameters that make up the 2D model, at any time (interactive and editing of the text). This allows for quantitative and qualitative parameterization of a component.
The 2D geometric construction mode is an interactive shell, which provides access to the functions of the geometric processor. The use of the interactive shell allows utilization of all these functions without having to first learn the syntax of the language.
